Tugas Akhir DIPLOMA III (Rancang Bangun Turbin Angin Sumbu Horizontal dengan Generator BLDC sebagai Sistem Penerangan)

Hi guys, I wanna share a little story about my journey working on my final project. A lot of things happened and turned into memories during the process — from April to October 2022. Sounds short, right? But trust me, it didn’t feel short when you’re going through it with a heavy heart and lots of stress.

Before I go on, let me give you one piece of advice: love what you’re working on. It really helps make complicated things feel a lot lighter. So yeah, what made me stressed during this project? First, the research results — would they match my expectations or not? Second, the whole process of getting those results — the costs, time, energy, fake friends, and emotional ups and downs.

If you’ve been following my social media since early 2022, maybe you already know what I’ve been through. Some people were like, “Is this even college? Feels more like a vacation!” Haha. I looked super happy in the middle of all the pressure. Like I said before, loving your work is the key — it makes everything feel more bearable. No final project is as easy as it sounds, each has its own challenges.

During this journey, I learned so much — how to manage time, budget my money, and most importantly... manage my emotions. Yep, emotional control is real. You’ll need a looot of patience, trust me. It’s exhausting.

The most stressful part? First, building the planting pole. We made the stairs and thought they were safe, but our lecturer said they weren’t good enough, so we had to take them apart and rebuild them to his standards. Then there was the wind turbine. Ours wasn’t homemade — we ordered it from abroad and it took two weeks to arrive. The problem? The final project deadline was just three weeks away. Super stressful!

Then came the testing day. We pulled an all-nighter to make sure everything would work perfectly. But when it was time to test… something broke. My heart did too, haha. And of course, after that came revisions. The tool was located far from where we lived, so fixing things on time was tough. Especially with the graduation file submission deadline coming up — it totally drained my energy and emotions. I was literally praying non-stop, hoping everything would be finished in time.

By some miracle, everything was done right at the last minute. And yes, we finally graduated in 2022! Even better, one of the three of us — the person who helped design the project — ended up being the best graduate. How cool is that?

Thanks for reading my story — hope it gives you a little motivation for your own final project journey!
